The World Circular Economy Forum's 2026 event was scheduled for September 15-18 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar. Co-organiser Sitra's event record identifies India's Central Pollution Control Board and international partners as organisers and provides for online participation.
The forum's stated purpose is to bring business leaders, policymakers and specialists together around circular-economy solutions. Sitra describes its focus as connecting commercial opportunities with environmental goals, rather than treating resource consumption solely as a waste-disposal issue.
That changes the questions a business discussion needs to address. A proposed circular model must make sense both as an operating business and as a way to reduce excessive resource use. Presenting an idea at a conference is only the first of those tests; it is not evidence that the model has been adopted or has produced measurable savings.
The distinction also applies to public policy. A gathering can support exchanges between regulators and companies, but participation figures do not measure material recovery, reduced consumption or investment actually committed.
This archive revision retains the September event dates. It does not turn an old programme notice into a forthcoming October event or claim environmental results that the checked programme pages do not document.
