The Consolidating European Science Diplomacy (CUSP) project brings together 11 organisations to strengthen coordination across the science diplomacy ecosystem, with contributing perspectives from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, and the Arab States.
Launched on 1 June 2026, CUSP held its first consortium meeting in Vienna, Austria, on 9–10 June.
Coordinated by the Zentrum für Soziale Innovation (ZSI), the project responds to recommendations set out in the European Commission's 2025 expert report on a European Framework for Science Diplomacy, as well as the Council recommendation on a new framework for science diplomacy adopted in May 2026.

Will also facilitate an expert working group on science diplomacy and science advice for the global commons and contribute to a report and recommendations on science diplomacy for global challenges, scientific partnerships, and global public goods.
