Tawang will host the 14th International Tourism Mart for the North Eastern Region from 29 to 31 October, bringing tourism businesses, government representatives and buyers together in Arunachal Pradesh. The Ministry of Tourism expects more than 200 participants, including 43 international buyers from 22 countries.

All eight North Eastern States will present destinations, cultural experiences and combined travel circuits. The programme includes a North East Bazaar, regional food and performances, alongside structured business-to-business meetings intended to connect local operators with domestic and overseas travel markets.

Technical sessions will examine the live-events and concert economy as well as access to protected and restricted areas. Delegates are also scheduled to visit Tawang Monastery, Jaswant Garh War Memorial, Jang Waterfall, Urgelling Gompa, PTSO Lake and other locations, giving potential partners direct exposure to both heritage and natural attractions.

Tawang last hosted the Mart in 2013. Its return places attention on whether a high-profile showcase can translate into responsible, year-round tourism that supports local enterprises while respecting fragile landscapes, community life and the infrastructure limits of high-altitude destinations.
