Principal Scientific Adviser Ajay Kumar Sood launched the RSVC-AMRIT platform on August 15. Developed by NABARD with his office, it was presented as digital support for the RuTAGe Smart Village Centre network.
The stated functions run from finding and validating technologies to tracking deployment and coordinating partners. That sequence is important: identifying an invention is only the first step in deciding whether it suits a particular community and arranging implementation.
The announcement links a digital platform with physical village-level hubs covering areas such as water, rural enterprise and renewable energy. The two are not substitutes. A catalogue can make a technology visible; a local centre provides the setting in which needs, providers and implementation partners can be brought together.
NABARD said it was supporting eight centres and expected the platform to develop into a wider repository linking technology discovery with local deployment.
