Players and officials were welcomed at Imphal International Airport by members of the All Manipur Muay-Thai Lovers and Players Organisation on their return from Mizoram. That report supplied the next team placing after the championship podium.
The opening ceremony had featured Sports and Youth Services Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, according to Mizoram Chronicle's account. Association general secretary Vanlalawmpuia delivered the welcome address and president Johny Ngurthansanga also spoke. The Meghalaya association gave a Muaythai demonstration.
