The Coal Ministry's July 24 AAROH report event included an implementation agreement with GIZ on closed coal mines and agreements for vocational-training centres, according to the official account.
The combination identifies two different post-mining issues. Land needs an appropriate future use, while people whose economic activity was connected to mining may need routes into other work. A land-reuse proposal does not by itself answer the employment question, which explains the separate training component.
The report was described as covering 42 scientifically closed mines. That is the ministry's description of its case-study collection, not a uniform measurement of restoration quality or replacement income at every site.
Jitendra Singh proposed agriculture, renewable energy and tourism as possible post-mining uses, alongside the separate vocational-training component.
