Fertiliser cooperative KRIBHCO reported profit before tax of Rs 824.68 crore for 2025-26 and declared a 20 per cent dividend on member cooperative societies' equity capital. The figures were announced after approval of its accounts at the 46th annual general body meeting in New Delhi on September 25, 2026, the Times of India reported. Chairman V. Sudhakar Chowdary presided over the meeting attended by member representatives.

KRIBHCO produced 21.34 lakh tonnes of urea and 12.39 lakh tonnes of ammonia during the year. Fertiliser sales, including urea and phosphatic and potassic products, totalled 45.37 lakh tonnes. Its wholly owned fertiliser subsidiary KFL separately produced 11.02 lakh tonnes of urea and 6.68 lakh tonnes of ammonia. Agri-business subsidiary KABL reported turnover of Rs 1,919.35 crore, comprising Rs 1,436.81 crore from domestic business and Rs 482.54 crore from exports.

The cooperative's own account of its September 2025 AGM recorded pre-tax profit of Rs 692.74 crore for 2024-25 and the same 20 per cent dividend rate. The two reported profit figures therefore show an increase of Rs 131.94 crore, or approximately 19 per cent. That earlier announcement also put KABL turnover at Rs 1,752 crore, compared with the higher total disclosed for 2025-26.

A separate August 25, 2026 ICRA assessment described difficulties at KRIBHCO Green Energy, which was building grain-based ethanol plants at Hazira and Nellore. ICRA retained its A rating but changed the outlook to negative because of repeated commissioning delays. Each plant had planned capacity of 270 kilolitres a day. The agency said oil marketing companies had terminated a ten-year offtake agreement after the delays, requiring the subsidiary to seek business through open-market tenders. It also recorded KRIBHCO's guarantees and financial support for the subsidiary.
