Gaston Browne has been officially sworn in as Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, securing a new term in office following his party’s landslide victory in Thursday’s general elections.

Browne took the oath of office during a formal ceremony on Friday morning, reaffirming his leadership of the country after receiving a decisive mandate from the electorate.

Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Steadroy Benjamin was also sworn in, resuming his role within the Cabinet as one of the government’s most senior legal officials.
